2 and a half minute less we count

i saw innocence in the pale glow, the rising moon, in full view and the sighs of one million tortures entered the room, uninvited, unenticing and spun 'round the coat rack. tether and ripping apart the hearts that lie there restless and accused. marched into oblivion without a single hand to guide them, run backwards as the world stopped for them, only for them. with the last glimmer of light, the last shadow of hope and empitiness to caress us in our fears, our lament. they are passing. reaching, wretching forth and returning from their madness. shifted eyes and shiftless stares and no one cares. they are not ours to remember, and they leave their sorrow for us to mourn.

Lilith

Sixteen shades of sorrow on a starless night with no escape to dawn. She hugged the sand; she cursed the storm for 16 days and no tomorrows. Mourning friends who fled and loves that died stillborn... A lifetime miming, hiding from the touch that claims... unchained her from the lie that was her past. A hollow tear lay drying on the mask, behind the veil, behind the mask, behind the vizor... And somewhere spiteful spirits laughed at her - the last survivor. Because she'd always been alone, she'd always be alone.

Voices

Voices In the wind. In the sea... whispering hate, heresy; quietly accusing me. Voices. In the marsh. In the sky... Firing curses in my eyes, cutting me with razor lies. Voices... The sun steps down to dance on the armour, now rusted and brittle like September leaves. And through the odour of decaying man-piles, I know someone's listening, waiting for me. Christine, you haunt me - you cling like a limpet. the ghost of your pulse hammers nails in my head. We all sold our souls for a handful of ashes. We gambled together, the blame should be shared.

Where Have I Gone?
From here, it looks like it's been long dead... too long. Where have I gone? Nowhere! Working away on sites, sites and sites. Ahem... clearing throat, did I spell throat right? Who knows? I have no editor other than me.

What the hell is zen fire?

Teach Yourself to Play Anarchy
"Together we can all make a difference." I heard that once. But I have also heard, "I am only one person, what can I do?" Look, if you simply must...

5 Dancing John Marion Waynes

Sometimes, when we smack the pavement, most certainly a faceplant, why are we so willing to laugh at ourselves? It stinkin' hurts, there's nothing funny about that, what good is it to joke about a messed up face? Scabbed yucks and bruises. It's all metaphoric anyway, right?

  • Fact: The Eisenhower interstate system requires that one mile in every five must be straight. These straight sections are usable as airstrips in times of war or other emergencies.
  • Fact: Rats multiply so quickly that in 18 months, two rats could have over 1 million descendents.
  • Fact: During Abraham Lincoln's campaign for the presidency, a dyed-in-the-wool Democrat named Valentine Tapley from Pike County, Missouri, swore that he would never shave again if Abe were elected. Tapley kept his word and his chin whiskers went unshorn from November 1860 until he died in 1910, attaining a length of twelve feet six inches.
  • Fact: Nearly a third of all bottled drinking water purchased in the US is contaminated with bacteria.

Vomiting Cheese and the Elephant Crisis

Long before Europeans settled in North America, western Europeans observed Harvest Home festivals to celebrate the successful completion of gathering-in the season's crops. In the British Isles, Lammas Day (Loaf Mass Day), observed on August 1, was often held to celebrate a good wheat harvest. If the wheat crop was disappointing, the holiday was usually canceled. Another important precursor to the modern Thanksgiving holiday was the custom among English Puritans of designating special days of thanksgiving to express gratitude for God's blessings. These observances were not held regularly; they usually took place only in times of crisis or immediately after a period of misfortune had passed. Puritan thanksgiving ceremonies were serious religious occasions and bore only a passing resemblance to modern Thanksgiving celebrations.

Not again
It's one of those days where I don't wish to participate because I have little or nothing to offer. It is freezing cold outside and I have been on "stand-by" for three days. These episodes will not be re-ran nor will the revolution be televised.

Hi. How are ya? Participating, are we? The answer to the last Mensa Challenge is overdue. Here it is in full color.

Monday. Yes the answer is Monday. 100% of Mensa members who were asked, correctly answered. 100% of the people who answered here were also correct.

Congrats to Troy, this weeks winner.

New MENSA CHALLENGE:
Divide 110 into two parts so that one will be 150 percent of the other. What are the two numbers?

Name: troy lynn
Home Page: http://www.schlampe.de
E-Mail: Torirocks@msn.com

the answer is 66 and 44.
